My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is set before the main series, in a world where unlicensed heroics are illegal and All Might is still active. Koichi Haimawari, an ordinary and unremarkable college student, stumbles into vigilante work after his minor Quirk gets him mixed up with the mysterious Knuckleduster and the rollerskating Pop Step. In this opening volume, Koichi becomes the unlicensed hero Crawler, taking on street-level crime the pros don't have time for, while a dangerous new drug called Trigger begins spreading through the city. It's a grittier, more grounded take on the My Hero Academia world, written by Hideyuki Furuhashi with art by Betten Court.
