Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku follows Gabimaru the Hollow, a legendary ninja assassin who is sentenced to death but feels no fear, not even of his own execution. Offered a chance at a pardon, Gabimaru is sent to a mysterious, monster-infested island alongside a group of condemned criminals and the executioner assigned to watch him, tasked with finding a fabled elixir of eternal life. As the group ventures deeper into the island's forests they discover that its strange plant life and grotesque creatures are only the beginning of the horrors that await them. Written and illustrated by Yuji Kaku, Hell's Paradise combines survival horror, dark fantasy and sword-fighting action with a story about what it truly means to be alive.

This first volume introduces Gabimaru and sets up his perilous quest onto the island of Shinsenkyō in search of the elixir of life.
